It gives me great pleasure and excitement to share with you the announcement of the merger of two long-standing, successful lumber companies, Pilot Lumber and Moore’s Home Center.  We have over 225 combined years of serving our community in Campbell County.  This consolidation gives us the ability to be even more competitive through increased purchasing power, increased product selection and decreased overhead.

Our number one goal is to continue to provide quality service and a smooth transition for our loyal customers and our devoted staff.  We believe this alliance will offer the best team by combining the strengths and experiences of our knowledgeable personnel.  Both our companies pride ourselves in our knowledge and quality of products and our ability to create long-lasting business relationships.  We want to assure you these qualities will not be lost in the transition and will only get better.

This decision did not come easily and was made with great consideration for our employees and customers, who have become our friends over the years.  Through this process Bruce Moore reminded me of something his dad always told him, “Bruce, it isn’t the name on that sign that makes people walk through that door, it is the quality service and knowledge that we provide…”.  Our name will change, Pilot Lumber and Moore!, but the service and knowledge will only be enhanced by this merger.  We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing our partnership with you.
